Arts Habitat | Studio Seaside is located at 840 Broadway Avenue. This large commercial space has been renovated to accommodate 5 individual studios plus 768 SF of mixed-use space for community workshops, events, exhibitions and more.

Studios will continue to become available as the terms of usage are three, six and a maximum of twelve months in length. We are pleased to offer this mixed-use space to artists and arts organizations to present work, offer workshops, host community building events and extend their programming reach. Specs
Studio Seaside launched the Arts Habitat Studio Program in 2010. It is housed inside an 1800 SF commercial space in Seaside on Broadway Ave. Thanks to the generosity of our partners, the Orosco Group, we are free to use the space until a permanent tentant comes forth, at which time, we will be given notice with a high probability to relocate into another nearby space. Facilities include cement floors, 20' ceilings, heat, 2 bathrooms, excellent natural light (north and south facing floor to ceiling windows) and free parking.
We have created 5 individual studio spaces within the facility using 4'x8' connected wall sections. Each studio has a curtain closure at its doorway. Base-line perks that are part of the studio usage fees are as follows:

 

  • Each studio is partially furnished with a heavy-duty metal shelving unit and a lockable cabinet/ counter top table.Access to one exhibition opportunity
  • Verizon mobile hotspot Wi Fi
  • Garbage, water, heat, electric provided
  • Access to 768 SF mixed-use space any time it is not in use, or preparing to be used. No storage allowed in mixed-use space
  • Mixed-use space can be used for artist’s workshops with a reduced fee structure
  • Arts Habitat publicity for artists workshops
  • Public recognition as Arts Habitat Studio Artists.Each studio has its own charm and calling.
