"Get Out of My Way" Piano Duet with Katie Clare Mazzeo and Lucy Faridany

Arts Habitat will present Katie Clare Mazzeo and Lucy Faridany in a piano duet program entitled, "Get Out of My Way", at Arts in Progress on Tuesday, February 22, at the Arts Habitat Seaside Studio, 840 Broadway Avenue, Suite B4, in the Seaside City Center Development, at the corner of Broadway and Fremont Streets.


Arts Habitat will present Katie Clare Mazzeo and Lucy Faridany in a piano duet program entitled, "Get Out of My Way", at Arts in Progress on Tuesday, February 22, at the Arts Habitat Seaside Studio, 840 Broadway Avenue, Suite B4, in the Seaside City Center Development, at the corner of Broadway and Fremont Streets.

Mazzeo and Faridany will present a lively program of four-hand keyboard music and discuss the social revolution of the 18th and 19th century that brought a variety of new music into the homes of the yuppies of yesteryear. The event takes place on the fourth Tuesday of the month from 7:00 to 9:00 P.M., at the Seaside Studio. Complimentary refreshments are served, and the public is invited.

Katie Clare Mazzeo has performed piano and harpsichord solo and chamber music recitals in Europe and the U.S. She has lectured, performed and taught in Alaska, New York, New England, San Francisco, Berkeley and on the Monterey Peninsula. Ms. Mazzeo maintains a music studio in Carmel.

Lucy Faridany studied piano at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester, England. She has appeared as soloist with the Monterey Symphony, Emsemble Monterey, the MPC Orchestra and the All Saints Orchestra of Lewes, England. She has performed locally with The Carmel Bach Festival, the Carmel Opera Project, and Western Stage, among others. She maintains a private teaching studio in Carmel Valley.
