Arts Habitat will present Richard Gadd at Arts in Progress (AIP) on Tuesday, September 22nd, for a presentation entitled Living with Photographs.

Richard Gadd acquired his first daguerreotype in 1974 when he was taking a History of Photography class at the University of Dayton and has been hooked on photography since. His passion encompasses all things photographic.
After graduating from the University of Dayton with a degree in fine art photography, he joined the Dayton Art Institute and later moved to San Francisco and began working for art galleries.

In 1986 he accepted a position with the Monterey Museum of Art and was later promoted from Photography Curator to Executive Director.

In his current role as Director of the Weston Gallery, Richard works with individuals and institutions to identify rare and original artwork that enhances their collections.

Richard is a frequent lecturer and presenter, he regularly reviews photography portfolios for fellow photographers, and has served on a Photography Selection Jury.

AIP has returned to the Museum of Monterey-Stanton Center, located at 5 Customs House Plaza, Monterey. The monthly events will again include complimentary refreshments, and run the fourth Tuesday of each month from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Two hours of free parking is available to locals with an I.D. at the Fisherman's Wharf lot. Doors open at 7:00 p.m. for socializing, eating and drinking; the program runs from 7:30 to 8:30; and the last half hour allows time for one on one conversation with the presenters and continued enjoyment of refreshments.
