A New Vibrant Community Takes Root on Garden Road
Arts Habitat Studio Program announces that a new creative environment for artists has been established and will join Arts Habitat | Studio Seaside in providing affordable workspace for Monterey County's burgeoning artist population.
Arts Habitat is partnering with Access Monterey Peninsula (AMP) at 2200 Garden Road, Monterey (near the airport), to develop 3,000 square feet of artists studio space in a 17,000 aquare foot building. The new studio area offers creative programming possibilities in addition to workspaces. AMP would like to see the building fully utilized as an art center, including visual, performing and media arts. This innovative collaboration will further each organization's mission and will enable a broad spectrum of arts access and programming to local artists.

It is currently subdivided with four-foot high partitions which could be perfect for a group of 5 artists who want to share space with others in the same or compatible media, but also have designated individual work areas.
