Arts in Progress Overview

Arts in Progress (AIP) is an event series by Arts Habitat. The events take place on the fourth Tuesday of each month.  Please check the listing for this month's event.

The events are a series of gatherings of artists, art lovers and patrons that began in February of 2009.  Each month, Monterey artists and arts organizations involved with a specific art form are invited to celebrate that discipline.  Over these past six years a very broad range of art forms have been highlighted.

Arts in Progress events are fun and exciting evenings that encourage participation, appreciation and understanding of each art form.  They also provide a gathering spot for artists and art lovers of all disciplines to develop and renew acquaintances and build collaborations through conversation and networking.

Arts in Progress presentations are limited in time, informal and encourage the involvement of everyone.  Time before and after the presentations are given over to conversation and collaboration among participants and artists.

Arts Habitat is pleased to announce a great new location for the 2015 Arts in Progress season. Starting on Tuesday, January 27, AIP will take place at the new Press Club, located at 1123 Fremont Blvd. The club's central location and easy parking make it a terrific place to gather.

Perfectly Pressed Serves Light Supper
We hope you never skipped dinner to attend Arts in Progress over the past 6 years, but if you did, the Press Club offers another amenity: an on-site cafe called Perfectly Pressed. Audience members can choose to purchase coffee drinks, beer, wine, juices, salads, panini and desserts. Attendees will be able to make an evening of the 4th Tuesday of each month, with a light supper and a stimulating cultural event, all in one location.
