CREATING A PLACE FOR CREATING ART Artists require space to live and work. Vibrant
cultural activity demands space for creation, practice and
performance. ARTS HABITAT, a self-sustaining , multicultural
community of visual, performing, and literary artists, nonprofit
organizations and related commercial uses, is responding to that
need. |
|
ARTS HABITAT, Inc. has joined forces with the Monterey
County Board of Supervisors, Artspace Projects, Inc., and East
Garrison Partners in building an arts community in the East
Garrison of the former Fort Ord as part of a larger, mixed-use
development that will include workforce housing. |
Artists in all media
and disciplines will come together at ARTS HABITAT to create, present,
live and teach. |
